Real’s mobile apps and website were better designed and easier to use than its old-looking Windows app. I’ve been testing RealPlayer Cloud on all these devices and despite some hitches, found it performs as advertised. A Mac app is in the works, but meanwhile it can work, with some limitations, in a Web browser on a Mac (or any device with a browser). The service works using new or updated Real apps on Android devices, iPhones, iPads, Windows PCs and Roku TV set-top boxes. Real boasts that its new service reformats videos to best suit the device to which you stream or download them, taking into account device type, screen size, bandwidth and storage space. It also has built-in playback and sharing of your friends’ Facebook videos. It lets users of many different devices store their videos online stream or download them share them with others (even if the recipients lack Real’s software) and move videos easily among devices on the same network. Now, RealNetworks, the media-software company whose last major product launch was in 2008, is aiming to make video storage, portability and sharing a no-brainer with a new service called RealPlayer Cloud. Once the installation is finished, the user can share the video on social networks or on specialized sites for streaming video online. With RealPlayer Cloud, an iPhone can share videos with an Android phone, and vice versa. In case the user wants to raise or collect several videos, it offers all the necessary tools for this. Real Player is capable of transferring video files to devices such as iPods, game consoles and other devices of its kind. It is also possible to convert a file from one format to another as long as user has the proper codecs. With this software it is also possible to download videos on specialized sites, format conversion of files and more. The burning functionality is supported through the library. RealPlayer will especially look for album art on the internet. The library proved completely standard at the first use, it will ask the software to scan the directories to add songs to it.

As the user quickly understood it, the first section will be the one in which it will find the media being played (either local media or online). RealPlayer’s interface is pretty close to the Windows Media Player with 5 tabs available at the top of the screen, being very intuitive and easy to use. The suite includes a multi-channel audio player, with the ability to create playlists, etc. Real Player is a software program that includes the latest media player, music jukebox and listen to most common formats on the Web browser integrated multimedia. Real Player is a program specially designed for video playback although it also contains many other useful and interesting features.
